- Scope and Purpose
This Publishers Policy (“Policy”) establishes the rules, responsibilities, and obligations for all individuals and entities (“Publishers”) submitting content to Equipment & Maintenance. Content includes technical articles, maintenance guides, instructional materials, promotional content, videos, images, and any other published work related to engineering equipment or maintenance services.
The purpose of this Policy is to ensure:
• The integrity and reliability of published content
• Compliance with applicable laws and industry standards
• Protection of Equipment & Maintenance and its users from legal and financial risk
• Fair revenue sharing practices for contributing publishers
- Eligibility
Publishers may include:
• Individual engineers, technicians, or writers submitting technical content
• Partner companies submitting promotional or educational content
• Affiliates participating in approved monetization programs
All submissions must be reviewed and approved by the Equipment & Maintenance team. Publishers are not permitted to upload content directly to the Website without prior approval.
- Submission Guidelines
All content submissions must adhere to the following rules:
• Originality: Content must be original and free from plagiarism. Publishers must not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
• Technical Accuracy: All instructions, diagrams, and guides must be technically correct and safe.
• Formatting: Content should be submitted in approved formats (e.g., Word, PDF) with images in JPG or PNG, clearly captioned.
• Citations and References: Any external sources must be properly cited.
• Word Count & Structure: Articles should meet minimum and maximum word counts specified by Equipment & Maintenance.
• Language and Tone: Content must be professional, clear, and aligned with the brand’s voice.
• Prohibited Material: No content may include offensive, defamatory, illegal, or unsafe material.
- Intellectual Property Rights
• By submitting content, Publishers grant Equipment & Maintenance a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, modify, and redistribute the content.
• Publishers retain ownership of their work but agree that the Company may use the content for promotional, educational, or operational purposes.
• Publishers warrant that their content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights and that they have obtained all necessary permissions.
- Review and Approval Process
• All submissions are manually reviewed by the Equipment & Maintenance team.
• The review process may include technical verification, editorial review, and compliance checks.
• The Company may:
o Request revisions for clarity or technical accuracy
o Reject submissions that do not meet guidelines
o Remove previously approved content if issues are identified later
• Publishers will be notified of decisions via email.
- Revenue and Payment Terms
• Publishers may earn revenue through affiliate links, sponsored posts, or other monetized content.
• Payment will be processed via Paystack, Stripe, or other approved platforms.
• Payment Frequency: Monthly, or as otherwise communicated.
• Thresholds: Minimum payout amounts will be specified individually.
• Conditions: Payments are contingent on compliance with this Policy and acceptance of content. Violations may result in withheld payments.
• Taxes: Publishers are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on revenue earned.
- Publisher Obligations
Publishers agree to:
• Provide accurate and complete information about themselves and their company, if applicable
• Maintain confidentiality of any sensitive Company information
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including safety and engineering standards
• Avoid conflicts of interest with competitors or partners of the Company
• Cooperate with review or audit processes requested by Equipment & Maintenance
- Termination and Suspension
• Equipment & Maintenance may suspend or terminate any Publisher’s account or access to the Website at its sole discretion.
• Reasons for termination or suspension include:
o Submission of inaccurate, unsafe, or offensive content
o Violation of revenue rules or payment terms
o Breach of this Policy
• Pending payments may be withheld in cases of termination or policy violation.
- Liability and Indemnity
• Publishers are solely responsible for their submitted content.
• Publishers agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Equipment & Maintenance harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or legal fees arising from their content.
• The Company will not be responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses resulting from Publisher content.
- Website Disclaimer
• All published content is for informational and educational purposes only.
• While the Company strives for accuracy, Equipment & Maintenance makes no warranties regarding the completeness, reliability, or timeliness of Publisher content.
• Users rely on content at their own risk.
• Links to external websites do not constitute endorsement or guarantee of content.
- Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
• This Policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
• Disputes will be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
• Equipment & Maintenance may, at its discretion, use mediation or arbitration before resorting to litigation.
- Amendments
• Equipment & Maintenance reserves the right to amend or update this Policy at any time.
• Updated policies will be published on the Website with the effective date clearly stated.
• Continued submissions or use of the Website constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
- Acceptance Clause
By submitting content to Equipment & Maintenance, Publishers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with all terms of this Policy.
- Monitoring Of Customer Content And Consequences Of Inappropriate Content
By using this Site and (or) any Service, you agree not to make available or accessible any illegal content or content that is incompatible with or violates the Agreement. Equipment & Maintenance generally does not pre-screen Customer Content (whether posted to a website hosted by Equipment & Maintenance or posted to this Site). However, Equipment & Maintenance reserves the right (but undertakes no duty) to do so and decide whether any item of Customer Content is appropriate and (or) complies with this Agreement.
In cases where (as determined by Equipment & Maintenance in its sole and absolute discretion):
(i) you make available or accessible any material in violation of this Agreement or
(ii) you otherwise violate this Agreement, or
(iii) Equipment & Maintenance has a reason to believe that you are a repeat offender,
Equipment & Maintenance may apply certain restrictions at any time and without prior notice.
Equipment & Maintenance may apply the following restrictions:
(i) to remove any item of Customer Content, and (or)
(ii) to suspend or terminate Customer’s access to this Site, Account, Services, and (or)
(iii) to suspend or terminate the Account or Services (all or any part thereof).
If Equipment & Maintenance applies the abovementioned restrictions, Equipment & Maintenance may, in its sole and absolute discretion, remove and destroy any data and files (including back-up copies) stored by you on its servers, and has no obligation to provide you with such data and files.
You also acknowledge that such violations might be reported by Equipment & Maintenance to relevant authorities (including to law enforcement) as determined by Equipment & Maintenance in its sole discretion.
